Description

In this basic training "Power BI: self-reporting and data analysis" we work through all kinds of aspects of data analysis with Power BI during 2 weeks. Here you will learn everything you need to analyze data in Power BI: from accessing and profiling data to sharing your insights and doing advanced analyses. Every week you will receive new information from us. Because we explore new things every two weeks, we can go into depth. And because we don't have to put everything in a one-week course, you continue to build on knowledge that you really understand. You will also receive challenging assignments from us every week. There are puzzles to clarify concepts, but above all many assignments to look for applications in your organization and make the difference there.

Audience

You want to use Power BI to properly support your data analyses. But of course it doesn't stop with gaining insights yourself: you also want to design your reports in such a way that others can use them. And you want to be able to transfer them in a manageable way. In a responsible way: you want to work safely in accordance with best practices .

Skills gained

After these 4 weeks:

• You know how data can be accessed and processed from a multitude of sources, for both relational and non-relational data
• Can you implement good security standards and guidelines
• You can handle managing, deploying and sharing reports
• You are able to build, publish and integrate reports into Power BI.

Prerequisites to follow the training "Power BI: Self-reporting and analyzing data".

As a participant, you do not need any specific prior knowledge to start with Power BI. Feeling with data and data analysis is necessary - the goal of working with Power BI is to apply data analysis within your organization. That is why it is also important for participants to know where they will use data analysis in their daily work. Finally, participants will need access to Power BI Desktop on their own work laptop, and access to a Power BI Pro account within their organization.
