A Dutch (NT2) course will help you communicate more fluently and confidently in Dutch. This course focuses on using the language in business situations.

As an expat or foreign speaker in the Netherlands, learning Dutch is a valuable investment. You will feel at home more quickly and communicate more easily with Dutch colleagues. In this Dutch for non-native speakers (NT2) course, you will learn the language using our online platform. The course consists of various business topics that deal with everyday life and communication in the workplace, including relevant grammar and vocabulary. There is a strong focus on learning applicable and practical language skills that you can put to immediate use.

Interactive online learning
In this English course, you have sessions in the virtual classroom and this is combined with e-learning, coaching and feedback. In this way, you will learn from an experienced trainer, but you will also work independently and with fellow participants on our platform. In short:

Participants profile
For anyone using Dutch in a business context. This training course is suitable for starting level A0 up to and including A2+. We do an intake beforehand to gauge your level. Groups are then composed on the basis of language level.

Learning goals
We work on bridging the fluency gap. For example, say you were in a meeting and you wanted to suggest something but haven’t mastered Dutch well enough to explain your idea fully, which of course is a real shame! This training helps you to communicate more fluently and confidently in Dutch.

Method
This course combines three forms of learning. In this way, you are challenged and encouraged to learn in as many different ways as possible.

• Lessons with a trainer: you follow the lessons in a group with other students. The lessons take place via the virtual classroom.
• E-learning: varied assignments on our online platform, at your own pace.
• Social learning: learning from and with others, just like in real life. You do this with a buddy and are guided by a mentor.

What is Social Learning?
With our unique Social Learning approach, in addition to several sessions with the trainer, you will work on giving and receiving feedback. In addition, you will make and discuss assignments with a buddy, one of your fellow students. This way of learning has been shown to help you master what you learn better and faster. The benefits?

• Exchanging experiences with other professionals;
• Becoming aware of the effect of your behaviour and what you can do differently;
• Varied forms of training: e-learning, buddy assignments, online feedback and guidance and group lessons;
• Applying what you have learned immediately using your own experiences.

Skills covered: listening, reading, speaking, writing.

Program
The course consists of various topics that deal with business life and communication in the workplace, including relevant grammar and vocabulary. Practical exercises are central, as is learning with and from fellow students. You do this, for example, by responding to each other's assignments. Both in the lessons and on our Social
Learning platform.

What can you expect from this 15-week course?
Workload indication: 3.5 to 4 hours per week.

• 1 hour kick-off session
• 14 hours (7x2 hours) of virtual group sessions

• E-learning and social learning (sessions with a buddy)
• Extended post-course (after the training ends, 6 months of access to the platform including additional exercises and webinars)
• Level-based final test
